Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme – Travel Stories and Friendship
Wesley Mission Queensland - Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme Volunteers

Make a Meaningful Difference Are you a warm, friendly person who enjoys connecting with others? We are looking for volunteers to bring friendship and joy to older adults living in in their own homes.
We currently have a lovely gentleman, originally from Ecuador, who lives independently in Brisbane City and would really enjoy spending time with someone who shares his interests.
He is a former engineer, has travelled extensively, enjoys socialising and having conversations, and speaks Spanish.
He would prefer an male volunteer who enjoys connecting with others and sharing life experiences.
Many older persons have wonderful life stories and unique experiences to share. They would truly value the company of a caring volunteer who is ready to listen. Whether it’s sharing a conversation, enjoying a board game, reading together, taking a walk around the garden, or simply sharing a cup of tea, your presence can make a profound impact on someone’s day.
Why Join Us? This role is part of Wesley Mission Queensland’s Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS), a program dedicated to reducing social isolation among older Australians. By becoming a volunteer, you help build genuine friendships that enrich the lives of both the resident and yourself.
If you enjoy meeting new people and want to make a lasting difference in your community, we would love to hear from you.
