About the Role Are you an experienced Business Analyst looking to use your professional skills for a meaningful cause? We are seeking a dedicated volunteer for a short-term project to help us evaluate, document, and streamline our critical internal operations. As we look to modernise our systems, your expertise will be crucial in helping us understand how new technology will impact our day-to-day work.

Key Duties

  • Investigate, map out, and document critical internal processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for streamlining.
  • Develop comprehensive target-state ("To-Be") process maps for at least one of our most critical workflows.
  • Analyse and document the operational impacts of implementing new technology solutions on these target-state processes.
  • Collaborate closely with our committee members and operational volunteers to gather accurate requirements and understand current working practices.

Skills and Experience Needed

  • Demonstrated professional experience as a Business Analyst, specifically in business process mapping and process improvement.
  • Strong proficiency in documenting both current state ("As-Is") and target state ("To-Be") workflows.
  • Experience assessing and communicating the business impacts of technology implementations and digital transformation.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Organisational Background ACT Wildlife is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured, sick, and orphaned native animals in the Australian Capital Territory. We are an entirely volunteer-powered organisation driven by a strong focus on wildlife welfare and a vision of the community working in harmony with nature.

Benefits of Volunteering with Us

  • Apply your specialized corporate and technical skills to directly support local native wildlife.
  • Enjoy a flexible, project-based engagement that can be undertaken remotely and managed around your existing work or personal commitments.
  • Connect with a passionate, supportive, and like-minded community of wildlife advocates.

The Impact You Will Have

By mapping our processes and paving the way for new technology, you will help us significantly reduce administrative friction and operational bottlenecks. Ultimately, your work will ensure that our volunteers can dedicate more of their time and resources to what matters most - saving and rehabilitating vulnerable animals.
