Craft Activity & Social Connection Volunteer/ Disability Support Volunteer
Craft Volunteers Wanted — Disability Revive Charity Foundation (DRCF)
Disability Revive Charity Foundation (DRCF) is an NDIS provider supporting people with disability. We run creative arts and social connection programs (like our Art for Heart sessions in Epping), and we're looking for volunteers who love a hands-on craft or hobby in painting, clay, beading, sewing, or anything similar to help bring these sessions to life.
No formal experience needed. If you enjoy a craft and like sharing it with others, we'd love to hear from you!
What you'll be doing
- Setting up before sessions (tables, chairs, and laying out materials) and packing up afterwards
- Helping with sign-in and giving participants a friendly introduction to what we do
- Helping run the craft station and joining in the activity alongside participants, chatting, encouraging, and helping where needed
- From time to time, lending a hand with promotion or fundraising if that interests you
What we're looking for
- A hand-craft skill or hobby you enjoy (painting, clay/pottery, beading, sewing, etc.)
- Friendly, patient, non-judgemental, reliable and happy working with a diverse group of people with disability
- Happy to get a National Police Check
Why volunteer with us
- Share something you already love doing
- Great hands-on experience if you're into social work, community services, disability support, or art therapy
- You'll help shape brand-new programs, not just slot into an old system
- Flexible: plenty of sessions and craft types to choose from
- Reference/certificate available on request
- A genuinely lovely team to be part of
The impact
Your craft skills help NDIS participants enjoy real creative outlets and social connection, and help DRCF grow into a warm, visible presence in the local community.
