Better Connected Community Services volunteers help senior individuals with their shopping tasks within the local area. Providing door-to-door assistance for older community members enables continued independence, enhances social connection and sustains overall wellbeing.
What's Involved:
- Accompany clients to local shopping centers or stores and assist with selecting items.
- Help with transporting purchases to their homes.
- Provide a friendly and supportive presence to enhance the shopping experience.
- Volunteer expenses eg, mileage will be reimbursed by BCCS
