👉🏼 About Us: Woodlands Lodge may be one of BlueCares older residential sites but it is truly all heart. It has a warm, welcoming and homely atmosphere where residents are highly valued, respected and cared for. It is home to over 60 frail aged and elderly people and also offers 40 beds dedicated to interim care for those who are leaving hospital but are not quire ready to return home.

Woodlands Lodge is a place where friendships grow, familiar faces bring comfort and little moments of connection can make a big difference. Surrounded by rambling gardens it has a peaceful and homely feel. Residents and visitors can sit back and relax in the coffee shop, situated in a charming rotunda, where handmade treasures, jams and preserves are for sale.

📍 Location: BlueCare, Woodlands Lodge Residential Aged Care Facility, 29 Melbourne Road, Arundel Qld 4214 

What you’ll be doing:

You can choose from the following volunteer roles based on your interests and skills: 

Social Crew

▪️ Assisting with activity set-up and pack-down

▪️Encouraging participation in group activities

▪️Sharing your hobbies, talents, or second language to enrich the day

▪️Supporting craft, music, trivia, bingo, and games
▪️Building rapport through 1-on-1 conversations

▪️Helping unsettled clients find calm spaces or take a walk

▪️Serving food during morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea.
