Volunteers would be working in our Respite Division (Tuesdays and Thursdays) or the Stroke Support Group (every second Wednesday) supporting our clients. 10.30am - 2.30pm. Days to be negotiated. (C)
We re-purpose discarded bicycles and use the frames as a major component for "rough terrain" wheelchairs, destined for developing countries. Other components are marine plywood, and new BMX style wheels. Since its inception in 1987, well over 11,000 wheelchairs have been sent to developing countries all over the world, predominantly in the South Pacific region and Africa.
We are seeking retail assistants to serve in our op-shops for 1 or 2 regular shifts during the week. Our Op Shops are friendly and welcoming, serving the needy in our community. (C)
We require the services of a warm and welcoming Reception volunteer who is able to assist on weekends in our Hopewell Hospice which provides Palliative Care for adults. 3 hour shifts. (C)
Volunteers are required to assist with gardening duties in the Wesley Kids garden area. This area is used for activities with children, outdoor eating and relaxing, and includes a small herb garden.
