Merchandise Coordinator

South Melbourne Districts Football Club is looking for a Merchandise Coordinator to take ownership of our club merchandise and make it easy for our community to order, purchase and collect their gear.
What you’ll do
Your core responsibility will be overseeing our existing merchandise ordering and collection process, including:
- Managing and keeping track of merchandise orders
- Holding and organising club merchandise stock
- Coordinating collection of pre-ordered merchandise at training and home games
- Maintaining a small amount of stock for purchase at the club bar during Thursday dinners and home games
- Keeping track of stock levels and identifying when items need to be reordered
- Communicating with members about orders and collection.
We don’t deliver merchandise, so the focus is on maintaining an organised and reliable ordering and pick-up process for our club community.
Beyond the day-to-day role, there is plenty of opportunity to help develop our merchandise offering. This could include exploring new merchandise ideas suggested by our community, identifying new products or opportunities, and looking into potential stalls at markets and community events in the local area.
What you’ll get from the role
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in merchandising, retail, business, marketing, events or community sport to gain practical experience and take ownership of an important part of our club operations.
You’ll have scope to improve our existing processes and bring your own ideas to how we grow our merchandise offering. You’ll also become a visible part of the South Melbourne Districts community, building connections with players, volunteers, supporters and families across the club.
