Sewing, knitting, & crochet
About the role:
Use your sewing, knitting, and crochet skills to support Women's Power of Inspiration and inspire a positive shift in the lives of the women we support.
Ever Monday between 10am and 2pm and Friday between 12pm and 5pm Women's Power of Inspiration provides a safe space and fosters healing and social connection for refugee and migrant women through sewing, knitting and crochet. Currently, we need volunteers to support this activitiy.
Skills required:
- Industrial sewing machine.
- Able to teach other women the basics
- design and create simple dress designs with colors and sleeves.
- Alterations including pockets, zips, heming.
- Basket weaving.
