In Memory Volunteer

For over 90 years, Cancer Council SA has been working towards reducing the rate and impact of cancer for all South Australians. As an independent, non-government organisation, our incredible work is only made possible by the extraordinarily generous support of the South Australian community.

We are seeking reliable, compassionate, empathetic volunteers interested in assisting Cancer Council SA with our In Memory program where donations are made in memory of a loved one in lieu of flowers during funeral services.

This opportunity involves ~ Collecting donations from the offices of funeral homes ~ Being the Cancer Council SA presence prior to the funeral service and attending to collect donations from people attending the service in lieu of flowers ~ Setting up a display table at funeral services ~ Assisting people in completing their donation form as required ~ Driving Cancer Council SA vehicle ~ Returning donations to the Cancer Council SA office ~ Developing and maintaining friendly relationships with funeral home staff
