Join us to help revive our wetlands so that these special environments can continue to do the vital work they do to ensure that we all have clean air, fresh water, and safe futures. Be part of a nationwide campaign working with local communities, traditional owners, and other stakeholders to help restore and protect these wetlands of regional and international significance. Whether your keen to get your foot in the door with some industry experience in the conservation sector or just want a fun day out in nature with likeminded individuals, volunteering with CVA is right for you. No previous experience is required. Simply wear a long-sleeved shirt, long pants (not leggings), enclosed shoes a hat and bring a water bottle. Your team leader will engage you in conservation practices and knowledge of the local wetland ecology and bush environment. We provide all the tools, safety briefing and training for the project activities. Our primary focus sites include Forestdale Lake, a RAMSAR listed wetland of international significance, and Bibra Lake, a Bush forever site having strong ecological and recreational values. Your contribution can help create and maintaining these habitats for the species which call these wetland home, support biodiversity and healthy habitats, foster local pride and care for these special places which are teeming with life and help they to keep tackling climate change through blue carbon capture and storage.
