As a Mac Mates Volunteer you will be providing regular support and encouragement to someone living with a macular disease.
The Peer Support Group Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a support group and/or demonstrate the ability to guide a balanced discussion. Personal experience with macular disease is desirable but not necessary.
The Volunteer Educator role is perfect for someone looking to build on their communications skills and gain experience working in the not-for-profit sector. Based throughout Australia, you will be an important part of a team who are supporting people who are at risk of, or living with, macular disease.
