METRO WA, Share the last few days of a person’s life as you sit vigil with them, helping them avoid facing death alone. You will provide vital companionship, comfort and support. It may be reading, playing music, talking or remaining silent as they hold your hand. You will need to be a kind, compassionate, resilient and a patient person. Choose your hours to volunteer over a 24/7 period for 3 hour shifts.

Finncare hosts a lifestyle center to enhance the wellbeing of our aged participants visiting for social interaction. We are looking for volunteers to join our team to engage them in arts & craft activities, reading or just having a cuppa. On occasion we may do day trips to local venues and welcome an extra set of caring hands.
Connect with an older person in your community who is feeling isolated and lonely, to break those feelings and create lasting friendships. Engage in ongoing visits to the individual’s residence, whether that be their personal home, or space in a Residential Aged Care.
