Happy, friendly person needed to work with team in our cafe to provide table service.
General reception duties including answering phones, assisting customers, admin tasks, cash receipts, photocopying.
Your strong literacy and numeracy skills, and your patience and dedication, will be highly regarded in this role, assisting Adult Vocational Education students who may be challenged by, or face barriers with, the literacy and numeracy requirements within the course they are undertaking. You’ll assist a student with reading, writing & numeracy exercises, sometimes during class and sometimes one-on-one.
The Scuba Gym Australia provides Scuba Therapy to people with special needs. We need a fabulous and knowledgeable grant writer and fund-raiser so we can raise the amount of fun we have by getting the grants to afford more people access to our unique therapy and we can put on events to raise awareness. ***To be referred to this role an interview with Volunteering Central Coast is required. The Hunter Cancer Hub is based in the Canteen office in Newcastle and is an exciting new project, launched in early 2022 that will act as the central point between those who are impacted by cancer and support services. The Hunter Cancer Hub (HCH) Office Administration Volunteer will play a pivotal role in supporting families and individuals who approach The Hub for support.
Are you a Doctor, Nurse or Paramedic looking to support Young People Living with Cancer? Canteen relies on the assistance and support of our volunteers to help us deliver our programs for young people. We can’t run our programs without our generous volunteers. Our volunteers provide support, administer medication and first aid, participate in and help run activities and most importantly have fun in the process!
Do you have a passion for organising and promoting events? Your skills are needed in this exciting role. We are seeking an Events Coordinator to lead our friendly and supportive Events Team in planning, organising and promoting our special events, including our Volunteer Expos and Volunteer Awards. You will have the opportunity to develop your administration, communication and marketing/media skills. Days and times negotiable. Availability across multiple days will be highly regarded.

The Coordinator will commence as a dog reading team volunteer and after two school terms receive training to take on the Coordinator position. The Coordinator will recruit, train, support, manage and give recognition to volunteers within the region. The position will also raise awareness of the Story Dogs brand and services. This is a non paid, volunteer role. This role requires you to have a suitable dog.
