We are looking for Friendly visitor volunteers that speak another language besides English and would love to talk in that language and share the culture while offering companionship to isolated and lonely elderly people in the Northern Suburbs of the Gold Coast. Needed, loving souls to help enrich the lives and create friendships with our Beautiful Residents, Fun activities such as Bingo , Word games, reading , going for walks , one on one chats, arts and crafts, exercises, singing or other ideas that could put a smile on their faces.
A friendly, caring and skilled Volunteer Driver is required by Lutheran Services to drive our 20 seat bus to safely transport our residents on shopping trips and a variety of outings. An MR license is required. You must hold a clean current license and be able to provide the Medical Authority as required. Wednesday / Thursday outings one or two days per week. 8.30am - 2 pm. Lunch provided. (C)
Volunteers are required to help our aged care and retirement living clients participate in onsite lifestyle services such as Arts & Crafts, Games, Literacy Programs and Exercise Sessions. If you enjoy being with our Seniors and giving back to the community, this may suit you. Lunch Provided. 8.30am - 4 pm Monday - Friday. May offer required hours of volunteering if needed for mutual obligations. Days and times can be negotiated with the coordinator. (C)

All Aged Care are looking for volunteer drivers to use our Fleet or your own car (reimbursement for KM's) to transport older people to/from their homes, medical appointments, social activities and respite sessions.
Legacy Brisbane supports widows and families of our servicemen and women. We are looking for two passionate, motivated volunteers to phone our older widows to check on well-being and needs in the Contact Centre at South Brisbane. There will also be administrative tasks attached to this role. You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will need to be computer literate. You will not be selling, promoting or asking for money, it is purely a curtesy wellbeing call.
