MEDA protects and promotes the rights of people with disability through our Individual, Systemic and Volunteer Citizen Advocacy programs. A Volunteer Fundraiser will: • Support the valuable work of MEDA by developing and delivering a fundraise initiative that will raise funds for MEDAs individual advocacy program.
Courage to Care
With the Courage to Care team you will visit schools to participate in an anti-discrimination Program in one of two roles: 1. Present in a 25-minute segment historical stories about the rescuers - or "Upstanders" - during the Holocaust to groups of 30 students from Years 6 -12. OR 2. Facilitate in a 30-45 minute segment a conversation with 10-20 students about discrimination to encourage "Upstander" rather than "bystander" behaviour.
