We need volunteers to join our cleaning team to help support our vital community services. Cleaning tasks include vacuuming, dusting, bathrooms, trash emptying and some grounds maintenance duties.

The Coordinator will commence as a dog reading team volunteer and after two school terms receive training to take on the Coordinator position. The Coordinator will recruit, train, support, manage and give recognition to volunteers within the region. The position will also raise awareness of the Story Dogs brand and services. The My Eyes service offers essential post-clinic support for people living with age-related macular degeneration (AMD) by providing guidance, emotional support, and practical assistance to navigate their diagnosis and everyday challenges.
MDFA's Peer Support Groups provide a safe and welcoming space for people living with aged-related macular degeneration to share their stories and ask questions of their peers. The Co-Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a support group and/or demonstrate the ability to guide a balanced discussion. Personal experience with macular disease is desirable, not necessary.
