Volunteers play a vital role in helping St Mary’s House of Welcome (SMHOW) to achieve its mission and provide invaluable support across many areas of the organisation. The purpose of the Reception Volunteer role is to welcome people to SMHOW and supporting them throughout their visit while being sensitive to their needs. Outer East Foodshare collects donated, surplus and rescued food and delivers it to agencies to feed families with food insecurity. Assist to unload and reload food delivered to the Hub. Some food may need to be stored in the Hub for later collection. Help physically sort and pack food for distribution to the food relief agencies we support.
