    Volunteer with us AND raise vital funds for Sydney Children's Hospitals Network. This year we have the opportunity to raise funds whilst we volunteer! We have the opportunity to receive a donation from the event for every volunteer that attends at one of our designated water stations or Pre event assistance! Repair Café Coordinator Role for 15 hours a month, coordinating online appointments and arrangements for monthly workshops, and, assist monthly workshops. We are a volunteer organisation, passionate about repairing and maintaining household items, giving treasured possessions another life, helping to reduce living costs, reducing landfill, and helping our environment. We are a Centrelink approved volunteer work organisation.

    We are currently looking for Greek speaking volunteers for aged care facilities in Clayton and Oakleigh. These residents are socially and culturally isolated and would benefit greatly from regular contact by a visitor/friend. Regular contacts or visits have a positive impact in reducing social isolation and improving the well-being of the resident.

    Visit a socially isolated elderly man living in an aged care home in Healesville. Resident is Scottish and was a missionary in Africa and Hong Kong. He is legally blind but loves to get out and about. He enjoys gospel music and heading outside the facility for a coffee. Enjoy a cup of tea together, talk about family or go for short walk.

  • Italian speaking volunteer for very isolated elderly lady - Mooroolbark

    Latrobe Community Health/Link Health and Community

    We are currently looking for an Italian speaking volunteer for an isolated Italian speaking lady who lives in her own home. Do you live near Mooroolbark and can you spare 1 hour per fortnight? This lady would benefit greatly from regular contact by a visitor/friend. Regular contacts or visits have a positive impact in reducing social isolation and improving the well-being of the resident.

    Meals on Wheels (MOW) volunteers play an integral role transporting nutritious meals from a MOW meal provider to older people in our communities. For many MOW recipients, the volunteer is the only person they see that day, so the service also plays a vital role in social connection and monitoring wellbeing of older people. If you are a caring and compassionate individual with a vehicle, a drivers' licence, and a desire to help people, then we would love to hear from you!
