Within this role, you may have an opportunity for some training by a qualified chef! The role consists of one full day per fortnight (Thurs) when a community lunch is prepared and served and alternate half days each fortnight (Thursday) for menu preparation and team meetings. Woodcroft Morphett Vale Neighbourhood Centre needs a volunteer for the Literacy Group they host from 9 am until 12 pm (plus planning time). If you like to plan, implement and review activities and are keen to maintain communication between the Literacy Group, Tutors and the Management Committee, this may be the right role for you!

As the Cafe 175 Assistant Volunteer, you will be assisting the Kitchen Manager to provide meals to the customers. You will: * serve tea and coffee to customers in a timely manner * ensure supplies are maintained * follow safe food handling & storage directives * take and deliver customer orders * clear & clean tables after each setting * follow instructions
This role will involve hands on work within a small team of volunteers focusing on maintaining the garden beds within Reynard Street Neighbourhood House and in the adjoining Community Garden where required. This role is a great way to become involved with a meaningful project, while meeting new people, and staying active and involved in your community.
