The Saint Francis Xavier Cathedral is a landmark building of international importance. The story of this fabulous twentieth century cathedral has been published world-wide in a book listing 83 magnificent cathedrals from around the world.
This beautiful cathedral is situated at 56 Cathedral Avenue Geraldton (Corner of Maitland Street). It is open to the public from 7.00am until 5.30pm, 7 days a week, except Public Holidays when it's open from 9am.

The Monsignor Hawes Heritage Centre (MHHC) is a state-of-the-art interpretive centre, within the grounds of St Francis Xavier's Cathedral, that tells the story of architect-priest Monsignor John Cyril Hawes!
The Monsignor Hawes Museum Attendant will engage with visitors to help them appreciate the wonderful story of Monsignor John Cyril Hawes and to take the opportunity to visit the many places he built in the Midwest and Gascoyne region of WA.
