The secretary is responsible for the documentation and communication of the activities within the FAR Committee. The secretary is the primary administration officer of the Committee and provides the links between the Committee, members and outside agencies. Amongst the Secretary's tasks are to prepare agendas, prepare and distribute minutes, and manage both ingoing and outgoing communication.
Farm Animal Rescue runs multiple fundraising events each year. Our events are often innovative and unique, as our fundraising need is significant. We are seeking experienced event planners or project managers to help us execute our plans.
Farm Animal Rescue is inviting applications for Open Day Volunteer.
We are seeking an animal care assistant to work for up to 7 hours on a regular basis providing the best of care to the sanctuary’s animals. You will work alongside our live-in animal care team. This includes, cleaning, prepping, feeding and basic health assessment. You can commit to volunteer once per week, per fortnight or per month.
Farm Animal Rescue are seeking habitat cleaning volunteers to care for some of the sanctuary’s most fragile rescued animals.
Start any date that suits, as long as we are available. Minimum stay two weeks. You work 3.5 days each week. Days are long, from dawn to dusk, but the happy smiling faces of the animals around you will make it all worth it. Duties include daily cleaning of barns and coops, feeding, health checks, light maintenance work, monitoring herd movements and intensive care of ill, old and baby animals. Extra duties may be required when new there are new rescues or infants.
Our Grill Crew operate at the Vegan Markets twice each month, serving up hot dogs along with our merchandise and an assortment of other donated products. Grill Crew are an extremely important part of the sanctuary’s fundraising, accounting for over 20% of our average monthly revenue for animal care and advocacy.
