If you enjoy chatting and generally engaging socially with people we would like to chat with you. During your visit we are requiring you to assist our Chef's and Kitchen staff with helping prepare menu selections for residents’ meals.

The role may also involve labelling clothing, but there is no sewing involved!

    Are you a sociable person who enjoys talking and listening to others? For this volunteering you will need to be understanding of elderly people's needs and limits. You will need to be as reliable as possible. You will need to be willing to contact the ACVVS Co-ordinator to report every quarter and when you need support.

This gentleman is a kind-hearted and intelligent man living in an aged care facility on the Oakland’s Park area. Despite facing challenges such as brain injury and cancer, he remains a lovely and gentle soul. Unlike many residents, he enjoys discussing topics beyond the ordinary and loves listening to Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones.
