DFSWA is a grassroots, volunteer-powered, charity that is part of a global movement to support women to achieve economic independence. Our purpose is to support women from all backgrounds to achieve economic independence. We do this through: - Our styling service to build confidence and provide practical assistance - Our Career Program - workshops and 1-1 support - Outreach Program to regional towns in WA We are particularly focused on women who have faced barriers to thriving in work and life including women: - impacted by FDV from all demographics. - who have spent time in prison - from non-English speaking backgrounds that need support navigating the employment system. - Who are older or have been out of the workforce with caring/family responsibilities and are now find they have limited skills, income or funds for retirement.
