Cairns Art Gallery

Cairns Art Gallery, Court House Gallery and Mulgrave Gallery form the Cairns Art Gallery Precinct on 2 acres of land in the heart of Cairns. The Gallery Precinct, managed by Cairns Art Gallery is committed to presenting the best of local, Australian, International and Indigenous art to visitors and locals alike. We are committed to presenting a program of exhibitions and workshops that relate to our unique location in Far North Queensland. The Gallery welcomes over 190,000 visitors in a calendar year. Our volunteers range across ages and backgrounds and we offer a variety of tasks, however our biggest need is for Gallery Attendants / Invigilation, where we ensure the security of the art on display while also engaging with visitors in a friendly, professional manner. Volunteers with an interest in assisting with children’s art classes require a blue card, however no additional qualifications are required of Gallery Attendants.
