The Role

Join our friendly Southport team and help bring independence and joy to older people in our community. We’re looking for Volunteer Bus Drivers to support staff by transporting residents to social outings, activities, and appointments. Your time behind the wheel will make a big difference—helping residents stay connected, active, and engaged.

Skills & Qualities

We’re seeking people who have:

  • A current open QLD driver’s licence with a clean record
  • Confidence driving a 10 seater van
  • A friendly, caring nature and genuine interest in people
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to build rapport and interact positively with residents
  • Respect for privacy, confidentiality, and professional boundaries
  • Reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude

What’s Required

  • Complete volunteer training before your first shift
  • Undergo a National Police Check (organised and paid for by us)
  • Commit to one shift per week (approx. 4 hours, Mon–Fri between 8am–4pm)

If you enjoy driving, meeting new people, and making a difference, this is a rewarding way to give back while being part of a supportive team.
