  • Strict adherence to Food Safety requirements is essential to maintain the quality and safety of the meals.
  • This role requires you to work effectively in a team, creating a fun, friendly, and supportive environment for both volunteers and those receiving the meals.

Requirements:

  • While cooking experience is helpful, it's not essential. If you're willing to learn, the organisation will provide training to help you improve your cooking skills.
  • You should be able to relate to and interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Working cooperatively in a team environment is crucial for this role.
  • You must adhere to food safety and handling practices as instructed to ensure the safety and well-being of the recipients.

Shift Opportunities:

  • The shift opportunities are from 7 am to 11:15 am, Monday to Friday.
  • The days and frequency of your shifts are flexible and can be set by you, the volunteer, making it easier to balance with your other commitments.

Application and Screening:

  • To become a volunteer, you'll need to complete a Volunteer Application Form.
  • You may also need to provide an ACIC Police Check Informed Consent Form, which is free of charge. If you already have a current Police Check performed within the last 2 years, you can provide a copy of it.
