Youth Community Champion – Western Sydney Youth Collective

Help Shape the Future of Western Sydney
The Western Sydney Youth Collective is a growing network of young people who are passionate about improving the places where they live, learn, work and connect.
We are seeking motivated young people aged 15–30 to join our Youth Community Champion program and contribute to projects focused on housing affordability, transport, public space, health, education, employment opportunities and community wellbeing across Greater Western Sydney.
This is an opportunity to build leadership experience, develop practical skills, connect with like-minded young people and contribute to real projects that have the potential to influence policy, planning and community outcomes.
What you might be involved in:
• Participating in youth-led community projects • Contributing to research, surveys and community consultations • Taking part in Observation Sprints exploring local neighbourhoods and public spaces • Writing articles, stories and content for youth publications • Supporting events, workshops and community engagement activities • Sharing ideas and lived experience to inform advocacy and policy work • Helping identify local issues and opportunities within your community • Leading or supporting youth initiatives aligned with your interests
What we are looking for:
• Passion for community improvement and social impact • Interest in Western Sydney and the issues affecting young people • Willingness to collaborate with others • Reliability and a positive attitude • No previous experience required
