Do you have an energetic nature, work well within a small team and have hospitality experience? The Abbey Museum is looking for volunteers to join the Abbey Cafe!
Be guided by our amazing Cafe Coordinator, Jude, and make hot/ cold drinks, serve food (no cooking required), greet customers with a smile and process orders. The Abbey Cafe operates Monday - Saturday,10.00am - 2.00pm. Flexible shifts available. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a smile
- Take orders, process payments, open and close register (training on POS system will be provided).
- Make and serve beverages, tailored to the customer’s preferences
- Basic food preparation
- Regular cleaning of work areas, seating areas and equipment/ tools
We are looking for volunteers with the following capabilities:
- Hospitality experience
- Customer service experience
- Consistent, high-quality service and customer experience
- Point of Sale experience
- The ability to work well with others
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to accurately memorise orders
- The ability to accept constructive feedback and work well under pressure
- High-level of good hygiene practice.
