The Salvation Army Thrift Shop in Harvey requires energetic and committed volunteers to help assist the manager in the operations of the shop. The duties may include sorting donations, displaying stock, general tidying, serving customers and other duties as required.
Work with Activities Organisers to prepare and present activities to either individual or groups of consumers with Social Centres or on Outings Help elderly consumers maintain their independence and stay in their own homes

Do you enjoy working with young people? In this rewarding position, volunteers work with at least one other person to oversee activities for youth aged 12-17. Volunteers will be required to: -Open/close venue. -Record attendance and incidents. -Support activities which may include cooking and housekeeping duties performed by youth. -Assist to provide a safe space for youth.

Horse handler duties: catch, groom, lead and prepare mounts for the rider sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays, as well as check horses daily. Side walker duties: walk next to the horse and assist clients with goal achievement and activities.

We're looking for a person skilled and/or experienced in hosting community activities or small parties to act as a "volunteer host" and represent the CRC at activities and events facilitated at our venue or in collaboration with partners at other venues. Skills would include confidence, professionalism, good communication and the ability to deal comfortably with people from all backgrounds.
Seeking an experienced cleaner to attend the CRC every Friday from 2.30 to 4.00pm to empty bins, clean and sanitise desks and chairs and vacuum and mop floors. The Centre is cleaned daily so the Friday clean should only take 90 minutes. We would also like the cleaner to wash the front windows every two months. Ideal position for someone active who can repeatedly bend down and look up without discomfort. Applicants must be over 18.
Experienced gardener required one to two hours per day, two days per week. Tend garden beds, mow/water lawn as required, tidy under fruit trees, manage compost bins and garden waste. Suitable for a retired/semi retired person who is still physically active and enjoys gardening. No set hours. Volunteer welcome to develop own routine/roster (in liaison with Centre Manager. Prior gardening experience preferred.
Experienced maintenance person to undertake tasks such as changing light globes, hanging items on walls, ie key cabinet, pinup board, attaching door locks, mending breaks ie chair casters, picture frames, clocks etc, washing windows that are higher than standard and may need a ladder. As needs basis.
