Brunswick Valley Landcare have a range of locality care groups working on both public and private land in various locations across the Byron Shire.
Spend time with an with an elderly woman living at home who is seeking friendly visitor to catch up for weekly or fortnightly visits. Our Client would enjoy company to watch tv with or simply chatting together over a cuppa during your visits. You'll help provide companionship and maintaining their healthy wellbeing as part of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme.
Got some time to spare and want to get out and get some fresh air ,come and help us out. We only need one day a week of your time.
We have a fun position at Woolgoolga day programme helping our elderly clients with quizzes, bingo, morning tea and lunch. We are looking for a volunteer for Fridays between 9am and 3pm. A staff member will be on hand to train the volunteer
We are looking for a gardener to maintain our beautiful gardens, that our elderly clients enjoy. The gardener will keep the area free of weeds and keep the fountains clean and Cut back any overgrown vegetation. Our gardener will enjoy a free hot lunch and morning tea provided by our chef.
Kitchen assistant required To assist the chef with morning tea and lunch. Waratah is an a respite centre helping our elderly in the community.

Elderly living in a residential aged care home in Balmain would like volunteers to visit them for around an hour on a weekly or fortnightly basis either chatting over a cuppa, playing board games, reading magazine or books, or going for a walk to a local cafe or park. Volunteering under the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme you will make a difference in the life of an older person by helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation improve their overall wellbeing.
