Seeking volunteers to support Dementia Australia staff and clients , for our Monday to Friday centre-based social support program in Darwin. Volunteers support Dementia Australia staff enabling clients to engage in a program tailored specifically to their areas of interest, support, and social needs.

Volunteers must be over 18 and willing to visit their new friend weekly/fortnightly for a period of 12 months or more. This assists to build a meaningful connection that assists in enriching the friendship. Online training is provided and ongoing support by a local aged care coordinator. By giving your time in this way, you are sure to receive much more in return by knowing you are bringing some light and kindness to a lonely person.
