We are seeking regular volunteers to assist patients and staff within Cancer Care Services with tasks that will facilitate the flow of patients through outpatient clinic and treatment in the Chemo Day Unit.
We are presently seeking expressions interest for Group work assistants for our UCan2, psychosocial education, employment and further education and training pathway program. This program is currently underway and happening on Tuesdays, from 10am - 2:30pm since April 30 2024, and runs for 8-10 weeks. Volunteers must have a Blue Card, be keen to make a difference and respectfully curious about learning about other cultures.

Duties include: assessing client's computer proficiency, assessing client's need eg: for online training course, personal development, language studies and any other related tasks as requested by management.
Use your dancing skills as a Salsa Dance Instructor to teach our clients some new dance moves. This class will enable our clients to learn something new, encourage social interaction with each other and allow participants to get into the groove when it comes to dancing. One evening per week, 5pm - 7pm. Day of week to be agreed upon with co-ordinator.
Are you interested in welcoming visitors to the beautiful Botanic Gardens and providing directions and information. The Centre is open each day from 10 am - 2 pm. Visitors also purchase plants and merchandise and attend events in the Gardens. You will be required to undertake retail sales of merchandise and learn point of sale duties. Retail Assistants play a key role in helping with sales, merchandising and quality control. They support the Store Manager in ensuring quality customer service on the shop floor, assisting in processing donations as well as maintaining the general appearance and upkeep of the store area. Together, Retail Assistants play a key role in fostering a culture of inclusiveness and community spirit amongst the team, which in turn enhances the customer experience in the store.
