The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is the largest aid, employment, health, and advocacy organisation for people seeking asylum in Australia. We are an independent not-for-profit organisation whose programs support and empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental, and social well-being through a range of direct services as well as participating in law reform, campaigning, and lobbying.

Be a roving guide at the museum. You don't need to have detailed knowledge of railways; it's more about having great people skills. Our wonderful visitors (generally families with children under 10 years of age) wander the museum site on a self-guided tour, and we just need friendly volunteers to assist them with things like directions around the site, and generally providing site supervision.

The Social Enterprise Engagement Volunteer will work collaboratively with the Social Enterprise Engagement Coordinator to provide support to people seeking asylum and refugees who are employed by ASRC’s Social Enterprises. You’ll be engaging directly with staff to develop pathways to meaningful employment as well as providing administration support to coordinate the delivery of training and skills development workshops focused on boosting employability and job readiness.
