We are looking for a Food Hampers Volunteer who can assist with food hampers preparation every Thursday from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm to effectively distribute food hamper boxes to our low-income / disadvantaged community.
Do you have an interest in working outdoors doing gardening and handyperson activities? Volunteer Groundskeepers are responsible for ensuring the grounds of Community Facilities are kept in a well-maintained condition which contributes to buildings being welcoming to the community. The role includes general garden maintenance using tools such as lawn mower and edge trimmer, maintenance of equipment and the removal and disposal of garden and other waste.
We are urgently seeking volunteers who are happy to help with functions and events. Events include our Old Style Dance, Morning Melodies, Regular Munchys - our Sausage Sizzle Style event, and varied other special events and private hire functions. We need Volunteers for set up, pack down for functions as well assistance with kitchen, wait staff, admission staff, baristas and bar staff. We seek volunteers for our Bicycle Repair and Maintenance Program. Do you have good knowledge about bicycles and scooters? The Open House Bike Hut operates out of Malahang Reserve, West Heidelberg, and is a space for local park users to fix their bikes, scooters and skateboards.
We need volunteers to assist in a Thrift Shop by interacting with customers and bagging purchases. The role would also involve ringing up sales and handling cash. At least two individuals work in the shop, which is open from Monday to Saturday, 9 am till noon. Prior to opening, and closing, signage needs to be placed curbside. During trading hours, the stock will need to be tidied and morning tea to be served. COVID vaccination not mandatory for volunteers.

We're a bit different in that we have two separate shops in the Hawaiian Shopping Centre. One is full of clothing, fashion items and accessories and the shop across is stocked with homewares, bric-a-brac and kids toys. You can chose what store you want to volunteer at based upon your interests and experience.
