The Pilbara RYDE Program provides young people (16-25 years) who live, work or study in the City of Karratha with the opportunity to complete their 50 hours of supervised driving with a Volunteer Driving Mentor. Braking the Cycle is our volunteer driver mentor program designed to support learner drivers without access to a supervisor or registered vehicle to complete their logbook hours. Safety is paramount at PCYC and all young drivers are paired with a mentor post an assessment of their driving skills. The program aims to help the disadvantaged youth clock 100 hours of driving with a mentor. Fuel and insurance are covered and the car used for driving belongs to PCYC.
