We are seeking a mentor! At genU we facilitate a Leadership Group to give voice to our clients living with disabilities. The group provides an opportunity for clients, to express their experiences, feedback, ideas, challenges and concerns about services and business practices. A volunteer is required to help upskill and mentor clients to participate in the group.
The Social Connection Volunteer will support people who feel isolated in building social connections within the local community.
You will be matched with families and tasks based on your experience, skills and interests and the family’s needs. We would like you to commit for 12 months and to be flexible when volunteering. The support you are expected to give will vary from family to family and may change during your time with us. We will provide you with adequate training and supervision.

Through horse riding at RDA SA, people of all ages can enjoy a safe, stimulating, healthy activity. Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria is currently seeking a volunteer to accompany a lovely lady who is blind on weekly walks in her local area for about 1 hour. You need to be friendly, reliable, enjoy walking and be available either Thursday am or anytime Saturday. Help this lady explore her suburb, get fit and feel socially connected!
Our Technical Volunteer designs, makes or modifies aids and equipment for people with a disability or the frail aged when there is no commercial solution available. Volunteers undertake project work in their own homes and sheds using their own tools.
