These residents are socially and culturally isolated and would benefit greatly from regular contact by a visitor/friend. Regular contacts or visits have a positive impact in reducing social isolation and improving the well-being of the resident.
Share your interest and skills in Arts and Crafts by volunteering at an over 65’s Health and Wellness Centre in Blacktown. Painting, knitting and crocheting are included in the activities. There is also the opportunity to accompany the group on day bus excursions, if you're interested.
Assist with the delivery of exercise classes, including the “Mind and Move” program, Seniors Yoga, Tai Chi and a fun dance type of fitness class as well. You may also enjoy assisting with our Thursday morning walking group.

Visit a socially isolated elderly man living in an aged care home in Healesville. Resident is Scottish and was a missionary in Africa and Hong Kong. He is legally blind but loves to get out and about. He enjoys gospel music and heading outside the facility for a coffee. Enjoy a cup of tea together, talk about family or go for short walk.

Volunteers required in our dementia specific Activity Centre's. 3 Centres in the Central Coast located at Gosford, Gorokan and Woy Woy. Key duties can include the following, assisting our Activity Officers with activities, assistance with preparing meals, serving of meals, general kitchen duties, becoming a bus host on our Community Transport bus, which would involve transporting clients to and from Centre.
