Dunsborough VFRS are a cohesive and dynamic team of volunteers, providing an essential emergency service to the local community and encourage involvement from members of all ages. If you are interested in meeting new people, learning new skills, challenging yourself in a new environment and contributing to your community we would love to hear from you.
Do you have a vibrant personality and are a fantastic team player? We need you to assist us on our reception desk. Your main tasks will be answering phones, assisting with printing and laminating, and generally supporting our other staff and volunteers.
BinderKeepers Inc is community orientated and provides members books covering from baby to senior ages for borrowing. Approximately once per month, helpers are required to support experienced volunteers with setting up Events, keeping tables tidy and packing up at the end of a day. These days are very social for Volunteers as they meet and greet the general public.
Book sorters are required to sort donated books for shelving for our main collection. The collection is a quite valuable community asset. The collection is in particular targeted to Australian authors and Australiana. Further there is a section of books, puzzles, games and bric a brac that is stored for future sales and /or donation.
Our Tutoring Program was established in 2009, in response to the increasing number of children and young people needing extra support and guidance with their school work. It's a free service offered to families in our communities who experience financial hardships.

Spend time with an elderly Lady who would like a Greek speaking social visitor at our residential aged care home at Darlinghurst. We are looking for a caring individual who can sit and have a chat, reminisce, and talk about topics of interest. Ideally you will be a fluent Greek speaker.

The Secretary role is very important to our Organisation and is pivotal in assisting the President with administrative tasks. Key tasks include record meeting notes, manage emails and general administrative support.

If you enjoy chatting and generally engaging socially with people we would like to chat with you. In the traditions of the Venerable Mary Potter and Saint Mary MacKillop, Calvary Flora McDonald caters for residents from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, including a Vietnamese specific wing.
Maintaining our directory of support groups is essential to ensure Queenslanders searching for support can contact current groups and that their contact details are up to date. This volunteer opportunity will help maintain our directory of 1,000 support groups in Queensland. If you have great communication and interpersonal skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs, this could be the administration role for you. Suitable for Centrelink Volunteers!
