Tranby’s archives hold one of the biggest collections of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Island records and artefacts outside the State Library. The Tranby Archives preserve and provide access to the permanent records of Tranby. These are authentic records that document and illustrate the life and times of Tranby, its students, staff, activities and governance. The collection reflects the working life, achievements and celebrations of Tranby and Indigenous recent history since the 1950s.

QSHBA is a volunteer-run not-for-profit group that is very active in the community. We have 4 permanent bands that perform regularly: the Queensland Mounted Infantry Historical Troop Band, the Queensland Show Band, the Bayside Youth Band and QSHBA Drum Corps. With current volunteers focused on teaching and performance roles, we need 1 or more volunteers to help keep us going behind the scenes, assisting with clerical duties, band room maintenance, as well as library and asset management.

Kindergarten Activities Volunteer

We are a community kindergarten that has been operational in Caloundra for 68 years. We have 25 kindergarten aged children each day. Volunteers can assist our staff in their day by reading children stories, playing games, cooking, sharing skills (basic building), pushing children on swings. Having volunteers greatly increases the one-on-one time we are able to spend with the children.
