Participation of older people in their community reduces their loneliness, improves their physical and mental wellbeing and provides them with motivation and confidence to undertake their daily living tasks. A reliable car is required for this role.
Uniting provides door to door transport service to people who have no means of transport to medical appointments. We need reliable drivers to transport older people and those with disabilities or chronic medical conditions to and from health and medical appointments.

Volunteer required to assist with transporting clients to appointments and events, explaining documents and forms to clients, assisting Multicultural Officers in completing paperwork, advocating for clients when required and to assist in one off events when needed. You will need to have good interpersonal skills, be approachable, demonstrate a genuine interest in supporting refugees and be able to communicate well with both refugees and workers.
