Volunteers are needed to help the Disabled Surfers Association "Let's Go Surfing Days". Volunteers will be helping in the water, standing on each side when the surfer comes surfing into the shore, clapping and encouraging as well as guiding them to stay in (need many people to do this). Are you a social butterfly, love to meet new people and be actively engaged in your community? This is a great role for those that would enjoy representing Guide Dogs Tasmania by being face to face with our amazing supporters at events. Various duties include providing information about our vital programs and services, accurately recording sales of merchandise, donations and donor details, cash handling, retail skills, and additional optional opportunities for pubic speaking and presenting.
Grooming and tacking of horses. Leading a horse with a rider in a lesson. Side walking a rider during a lesson. Assisting coach set up poles, barrels, cones.
Calling all yachties!!! Do you have an interest in sailing? Or would you like to just assist in the docking area, loading and unloading people with a disability into boats, and not do the sailing part of it? People are required to assist current volunteers, to help people with a disability to enjoy sailing in a friendly supportive environment. Help is needed to enable people with a disability to learn and develop new skills that only sailing can give them.
