At the direction of the Team Coordinator, the Team Leader supervises Spontaneous Volunteers for disaster relief activities to support and assist homeowners or tenants to clean up after a disaster.
In time of natural disasters impacting the Sunshine Coast region, Volunteering Sunshine Coast, with the Sunshine Coast regional Council, provides support to the community with disaster recovery efforts. If you have an interest in being part of a dedicated team supporting people in times of need you can register as a Disaster Recovery Volunteer.
Volunteers required to support the operational activities as directed by the OSU Group Duty Officer. This is a support role and can be undertaken by firefighting and non-firefighting personnel.
