At Friends of the Koala, we believe in and advocate proudly for the future of koalas in the NSW Northern Rivers region. Having been established 39 years ago, we have a solid history and reputation in the community and approximately 300 active volunteers working for this cause. Our volunteers undertake koala rescues, rehabilitation, and releases. Our specialised nurseries propagate, distribute, and plant trees across the region and our education team provide community engagement programs advocating on behalf of koalas at local, state, and national levels.
