Volunteers help to maintain our koala food tree plantations. Chipping, mulching around trees, planting trees, some brushcutting (optional) Need to have moderate level of fitness and able to work in all weather conditions
Volunteer Koala Carers work closely with the koalas in care at our Koala Care and Research Centre in East Lismore.
Nursery workers determine varieties and quantities of trees and shrubs and follow planting and care schedules. In the greenhouse they prepare the beds and plant the seedlings. As the plants grow and develop, workers must prune, weed, and water them.
Transport / Drivers Drivers play a vital role in the rescue and rehabilitation cycle. This role may require volunteers to travel to and from Lismore - Currumbin or Currumbin to Lismore. (or meet other volunteer between Currumbin / Lismore to shorten the travel) Must have current driver licence Registered roadworthy vehicle, with air conditioning Viber App, as this is how we post jobs
