It is envisaged that the project will benefit all members of the community who have a vision impairment. However, the initial stages of the project will be targeted towards providing volunteers to walk with people over 50 who have either suffered a recent vision loss or have long term low or no vision and would like to regain a level of fitness. It is anticipated that introducing people to a sporting pursuit at the walking entry level may allow people with low or no vision to further develop interests.
