Read more about these sports at www.blindsports.org.au The Walking With Willpower (WWW) project, funded by ANZ Staff Foundation, aims to promote fitness, wellbeing and community involvement through matching adults who have low or no vision with a friendly volunteer to share the benefits of walking together. It is envisaged that the project will benefit all members of the community who have a vision impairment. However, the initial stages of the project will be targeted towards providing volunteers to walk with people over 50 who have either suffered a recent vision loss or have long term low or no vision and would like to regain a level of fitness. It is anticipated that introducing people to a sporting pursuit at the walking entry level may allow people with low or no vision to further develop interests.
