The Donnybrook Repair Corner event will run on the first Saturday every month providing local residents of Donnybrook and surrounding areas with an opportunity to have personal items repaired by skilled volunteer repairers. It is a free, all inclusive cross cultural event to raise awareness of how to have a more sustainable lifestyle and divert items from landfill in our community.

    The Toy Library needs someone to volunteer on a Thursday afternoon. The job is helping to sort, check and count toys and put them away on their shelves. There is also some carrying of things to cars as needed by the members who borrow toys and a some sorting and tidying of stock and display shelves. The applicant needs to be physically able, they need to have good concentration and attention to detail. We need someone who is available every Thursday.

    A friendly volunteer visitor who is able to converse in Cantonese is needed to visit culturally isolated female in a facility in Mulgrave. The lady is originally from Hong Kong and enjoyed travelling the world withg her late husband. With no family and limited English, she has become very isolated. The aim of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme is for volunteers to develop a friendship with a resident who have become isolated. Face to face visits at least once per fortnight.

    Adult Helpers are non-uniformed Adult Members who regularly support Leaders in youth Sections. Adult Helpers regularly help and support overnight activities such as sleep overs, pack holidays, hikes, and camps. They regularly assist but choose not to become an Adult Leader and accordingly cannot be solely responsible for supervision, they must work with a trained Leader.
