We are currently seeking a new volunteer who genuinely enjoys the company of older people, who finds it easy to chat with people, and is a good listener. The volunteer will be introduced to an older person who is living in care in the local area, with a view to visiting that person at least once per fortnight, getting to know them, providing valuable social contact and, over time, building a friendship.

St Jude's ACVVS Volunteer Visitors make regular contact with an older person who is living in an Aged Care Facility or in their own home in the community. Most of this contact is face to face, but on rare occasions, contact might be by phone, card, letter or via Facetime or Skype. Attention (not too serious) musos. We are a voluntary group of four named The Village Players. We consist of 2 rhythm ukuleles, bass, and vocalist. We are looking for someone to provide melody e.g., harmonica, keys, accordion, guitar. Instrumental intros. We are the designated volunteer band for Minda Incorporated and play monthly gigs for the people with intellectual disability, and staff. The ideal person wants to have a bit of fun, provide a bit of fun for others.

That is where A Sound Life comes in - we do all the legwork to make it easy for you to simply turn up and perform your music either live over Zoom or directly to patients by their bedside in hospitals. Our next Musician Training Day is happening on Sunday, July 28 from 10am-3pm at Together2, Rozelle in Sydney and via Zoom.

As part of the delivery team, you are on the “front line”, delivering our amazing meals out to our customers who need them. If you love a little chat, have a couple of hours in the middle of the day free and want to help out your local community, deliveries are for you!
