Women and Mentoring - WAM Ltd
Women and Mentoring (WAM) empowers women who are in contact with the justice system to create positive change in their lives. We work with women who are experience disadvantage and criminalisation because of financial strain, family violence, social isolation, and homelessness. Through the power of a formal mentoring relationship with a screened and trained volunteer mentor, women can improve their self-esteem, develop their skills, and ultimately build their life away from the justice system.
BeachPatrol and Love Our Street
BeachPatrol & Love Our Street litter collection volunteer groups operate in 40+ postcodes. Groups meet monthly to pick up litter from local beaches, streets or parks and meet like-minded people who are passionate about preserving our environment, wildlife, marine life & ecosystems. The groups log their data in the LitterStopper app, which feeds into the DEECA LitterWatch database. We advocate for changes to reduce litter, raise awareness & support the government in tackling issues.

RSPCA Victoria
This role will involve greeting members of the public who are donating goods, clarifying with them that their donation is in line with what items RSPCA Victoria can accept, and then helping to keep the donations room in an orderly manner. Your exceptional people skills will ensure that donors will be greeted in accordance with our values and associated behaviours, which will leave them with a positive experience.
Outer East Foodshare Inc
Outer East Foodshare provide a link between Foodbank Victoria, local food businesses and food relief agencies in the Yarra Ranges and Knox. Outer East Foodshare collects food from donors such as Foodbank Victoria, supermarkets and local food growers and businesses, and distributes it to agencies in the Yarra Ranges and Knox, currently working with 30 agencies.

Knox Environment Society is looking for nursery volunteers to help propogate and sell native plants. The Knox Environment Society (KES) is a membership-based organization of like-minded individuals that have a concern for the environment. KES work closely with Knox Council, other Environmental Groups, Friends Groups and individuals to achieve the Society's objectives.

Story Dogs
You and your dog can help children find the magic in becoming lifelong readers. The Coordinator and their dog will commence as a volunteer reading team and will then receive training to take on the Coordinator position. The Coordinator will recruit, train, support and give recognition to volunteers within their region. The position will also raise awareness of the Story Dogs brand and services. This is a non paid, volunteer role. This role requires you to have a suitable dog.

There are an estimated 1.4m Australians with some evidence of age-related macular degeneration, which is the most common macular disease.

MDFA's Peer Support Groups provide a safe and welcoming space for people living with aged-related macular degeneration to share their stories and ask questions of their peers. The Co-Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a support group and/or demonstrate the ability to guide a balanced discussion. Personal experience with macular disease is desirable, not necessary.
