An opportunity for those who love model/miniature railways. We have a 7 ¼” gauge railway around the grounds that is available to visitors most days we are open. We have 3 locomotives (Steam, petrol, hydraulic). We are looking for someone who will be a practical leading-hand for this museum activity: From driving to track-work. Pearn's Steam World has one of the best collection of agricultural steam engines, tractors and other farming artifacts in Australia. These need maintenance, preservation, restoration, or rebuilding depending on their condition. We welcome anyone with the skills and/or aptitude to join the team who care for the collection. The collection ranges from large steam engines to small items such as hand-cranked seeders and butter churns.
Key responsibilities We provide a home library service for community members who are unable to attend the library to select their own items. Home Library Service Couriers support this service by visiting clients in their homes to deliver and return bags of library items. Volunteers work as part of a team of staff and volunteers, and participate in activities under the direction and guidance of the local Volunteer Coordinator, or other nominated staff members. The Red Nose website is the supply point for individual, group and corporate Red Nose Day fundraisers. This volunteer role will help ensure supply runs smoothly to facilitate and manage these fundraising activities.

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) is a government funded program aiming to reduce loneliness and increase social support and connectedness of older people in our community. Our volunteers play an important part in keeping them connected with regular visits.
