The purpose of our Home Visit service is to reduce the social isolation of our clients who may be feeling disconnected from their community. Have you got a few spare hours to visit an elderly person on the Northern beaches ? Do you enjoy engaging with people and making a meaningful difference to the lives of others ? MWP Community Care would love to hear from you.
Shopping Support Volunteers are needed. There are older people in our community who need the support of a friendly, caring and reliable person to assist them with their grocery shopping. If this sounds like you, MWP Community Care would love to hear from you. Volunteering and giving back back to your community makes such a significant and meaningful difference to the lives of others.
A lovely older lady would like a volunteer to visit her on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon for around an hour on a weekly basis either chatting over a cuppa, or going for a drive (she will drive her car) to the shops or the beach. Volunteering under the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme you will make a difference in the life of an older person by helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation improve their overall wellbeing.

Our volunteer teams look after our clients' gardens, making them safe, tidy and enjoyable. We weed prune and mulch home gardens to make them low maintenance, to make things easier for the client between our visits. We are a friendly group and always stop for a "cuppa" which we share with the client.

MCCI supports older people from multicultural backgrounds. Our Volunteer Drivers provide door to door transport for clients attending MCCI social support groups. Normal car licence only required. Full training provided.

An older man living in his own home would like you to visit him. You must be able to converse in Greek and can play board games, chat about Greece and other places of travel, or go for a walk together. Approximately an hour a fortnight or weekly at a time to suit both of you.

This year, the Nor-West Jockey Club will be hosting 4 race meets, and are seeking the support of various volunteers to assist with event preparation and activities. The dates of the races are as follows: - Sunday, May 25th (Family Day) - Sunday, June 9th (Harding Cup) - Saturday, June 29th (Ladies Day) - Saturday, 27th July (Roebourne Cup)
